You Capture ~ Autumn

Well I guess it really is here then...

~ time for early evening sundown...

~ weather that can't make up it's mind...

(rainbows with no rain!)

~ walks just to admire the colours...

~ animals bedding down for the winter...

(a badger set on our lane)

~ hedgerows feeding the birds ready for those cold days ahead...

~ fields getting ready to yield their crop, for us and the animals...

and time for us snuggle down with some comfort food!

(that's my very first toad-in-the-hole)

You Capture ~ The Things I Love

It doesn't get much easier than this... there are SO many things I love, in my life and in my world! I'll try to keep it short..!

I ♥ my not-so-little baby

 ~ soon to be 2yr old in Dec.

 How did 2 years fly by so very fast?

It seems like only yesterday I took this shot, but in fact it was exactly a year ago - the weather was so different last year!

I ♥ my Misters ~ all three of them...

(Taz ~ my amazing drumhead ~ makes me a proud Mummy!)

I ♥ my Beauties ~ I have three of those too!

And my Troublesome-Treasures ~ that beautiful blend!

I love the bonds I see growing amongst the children and watching the dynamics between them all...

I love my Nanna

 ~ and I love having her live close now, so that my children can get to love her too :D

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 

Then, when I step outside my door, I see even more that I love...

I DON'T love the COLD, 

but I do love the autumn....

You Capture ~ "Doors"

I have to confess ~ I'm cheating a little. 

It's not that I don't have doors I could have captured ~ even my own front door, which I love ~ but I didn't shoot specifically!

 However, I think you will forgive me...

Because these last two days THE SUN CAME OUT! 

Having endured a winter where the temperature has barely crept above freezing for weeks on end, 

to suddenly be basking in 13C is luxury.

We've downed books for large chunks of the day and headed out-DOORS!

(oh, and by the way, you may spot an actual door or two here and there too ~ just because, well, they snuck in without my noticing!)

For baby, these was his first steps in the big-outDOORS

And his first pair of real outDOOR shoes!

We tried him in boots, but he really was unsure of walking in them.

The shoes, on the other hand, were an instant hit!

The world's his oyster now...

(please excuse my not-yet-ready-for-summer garden!)

and there just ain't no stoppin' him!

Just a few more shots to kinda show you how we all feel about seeing the sunshine at last...

We're under no illusions: we know the winter could return any day, but just for now, we are making the most of a taste of spring :D

I used to shoot a lot more still life than I do now...

...but life isn't very 'still' these days!!

All the same, I do love the subject...

...and the how when I get up close to something I still discover :D

You Capture ~ COLOUR

I haven't participated in YOU CAPTURE for quite a long time ~ having been a regular for ages!

Sometimes life gets in the way and things go by the wayside...

But this week, I figured it was time to get back to it :D

The theme for the week is 'Colour' ~ and my world has no shortage of it!!

I love that the only colour in my bathroom, comes from the toys that litter our home :D
