ATW Tuesday ~ The Great Camp Out

Last week we were treated to an Indian summer.

Sadly we never made it camping this year, so I made the most of the sunshine & took the opportunity to pitch the tent and give it an air and scrub up. 

I removed the bedrooms to wash them ~ and the children grabbed the chance to have a big R&T session in the now wide-open space ~ Baby included!!

The children, of course, took the opportunity to have a mass camp-out!!

It stayed up then of course, and became an extension of the house for work, rest and play...

Sadly the tent never was taken down before the bad weather set in again and it is still pitched in our garden and taking a beating with some hefty wind and rain (and no campers).

I'm glad the weather forecast is for a few days of warm sun later in the week ~ I hope they are right, then we can get it dry and down and stored away for winter :(
