I ♥ Faces - Summer Story - Better Late than Never...

I hadn't known until today what to post for my 'summer story' but today my kids had a great time in the garden. It was the first really sunny day we've had since May!! I decided computers were banned until plenty after lunch and today they were going to have fun outside, so I threw a 'sports day' set at them that we picked up from Tescos. The first two and last few of these photos were taken by my son and all them are sooc otherwise I'd never get to posting!

So here's the story...

It started with parachute games...

and then parachute survival skills - a great place for a chin-wag, or a secret conference!

Then there were sack-races...

Egg & Spoon races...

which of course NJ could not be left out of (he loved these :D ).

A little bit of sulking in sacks - not sure why?!

and on to the 3-legged race, which with Jake and Els matched was not quite fair, so ...

...they cheated!! I wish I could play El's giggles as Jake oiked her round :D

Don't think he was that unhappy though - check out this gorgeous little face :D

And then... We inherited two 'big blue crash mats' this evening and so there was more craziness to be exhibited...

Even my not so daring little man was not to be out done on this one!

By the time they were done the sky was looking more like this! A good days play I'd say :D
