FIX-IT-FRIDAY - #65 ~ Blow Face!

It’s Fix-It Friday, a weekly event where the iheartfaces contributors edit the same photo and the all us readers can join the fun by editing their own and linking to the party! Today we’ll are using a photo of Andrea Riley’s cute little boy.

There's not a lot wrong with this, but let's see what I can do...

My main aims were to; even out the lighting on his face (moderately achieved in some edits more than others), make his left eye as bright and 'sharp' as his right one, loose the centre of the big bump on his head (I struggled to achieve this to my satisfaction in Lightroom, and it looked slightly false in PSE. Gimp has a 'dissolve' feature on it's healing tool and that worked much better!), and discretely sharpen the whole thing ~ I know Drew shoots with a Canon, and there is often a softness and 'lack of punchiness' that seems to be characteristic of Canon images (even my own), so I usually like to correct both those things, as I don't really do soft and fluffy ;)  !! 

(I'm not posting steps tonight ~ I'm tired, it's getting late and I'm not feeling good ~ sorry folks!)

(if you can't see a difference between these first two, that's because there isn't much ~ #2 is very slightly lighter and more punchy!)
