Shoot & Edit Wk.29 ~ Good -2-WOW! ~ "Laughter!"

This week I have been given the fabulous honour of being asked to make a guest contribution to Ashley and Jill's meme ~ Good to WOW.

Their theme for the week is 'laughter'.

The idea is to post a  good SOOC shot (Straight Out Of Camera) on the Monday, and a WOW edit on Thursday .


I will post my "How-2" right here of Frog-Photoblog ~ taking this shot from 'good' to "WOW"!! 

I'll be editing in LR3 and will have three fixes for you to follow ~ with screen shots and tips galore :-)

He is beautiful ~ Peaceful by name and nature so far!! :D The best Christmas gift a family could ask for :D
The other siblings simply can't get enough cuddles and he doesn't seem to mind to much...

I had a little fun today with an app’ on my HTC Wildfire :D ~ it’s called ‘Vignette’ and it’s just a little cool!

Not EXACTLY BW, but almost!

I didn’t even get my ‘real’ camera out today. It was a busy day…

SOOC Saturday ~ Summer...

Ok, so pie isn't really about 'summer' but this was one awesome Steak and Kidney Pie ~ made by Dad, FOR Dad ~ though he did share it graciously!! 

Early Summer is about...Little boys enjoying the evening sunshine ...

...The first of our home-grown veg!

...My 6yr old daughter mastering riding her bike in our leafy lane, with her big sister
 ~ SO summer!

...Learning outside in the garden, instead of inside, or in some stuffy classroom (I'd have loved to have been my children)!

..And teaching my children about the important things in life ~ like how to get honey from the suckle! :D

SOOC Saturday ~ Crazy Week!

It's not been the best of week here in the Hampton household! 

It began by dropping my eldest 4 off on their 'Kids retreat' and No.5 taking off down to a friend's for the week, with the promise of me getting to spend a whole week doing 'fun stuff' with my under 5's, BUT...

...instead on Monday night Stitch was admitted to hospital with suspected Pneumonia!!

48hrs of IV antibiotics later and he was back to himself (although maybe still more tired) ~ PRAISE GOD! ~ and we were heading home, but by now it was Thursday late afternoon and all the others arrived home Friday!

Oh well! Life happens! And I was very grateful I didn't have 6 other children to re-home whilst I stayed in hospital with Stitch and Paul was still able to go to work & earn the pennies!

This was taken Saturday afternoon, after the girls got their faces painted in the village hall ~ they looked really good!

SOOC Saturday/Sunday ~ Posting Late...!

Sorry I've been missing in action this week ~ not feeling fully myself!

But these were taken on thursday ~ we took the children to a local farm that has a play area and then for a short time every year they fill the barn with hay bales and let the children have fun...mine really did! These are my faves from the afternoon :)

SOOC Saturday ~ Sunshine At Last!!

Around here you would be struggling to have called it Spring just lately, but today, AT LAST, the sun has come out!!


I took my small boys to feed the horses, meet this year's calfs and feel the sun on their skin ~ and of course I took my camera! :)

All SOOC ~ the light was beautiful!
