Autumn on The Farm

It's harvest time here.

The little boys started out watching the spectacle from the top of our climbing frame.

I thought they should get a little closer to the action!

So we took a  little walk up our lane, to the next  field-but-one to our garden

to watch the harvesting of the corn field that we took pictures in the other day ...

It was really interesting, and Stitch was pretty insistent on staying to watch the whole field be done.

It was amazing how quickly it was all cut down, but we didn't quite stay till the end.

The sun was incredible and made shooting (and filming on a screen I couldn't see at all) a BIT of a challenge,

but ultimately it added to the atmosphere in the images!

I love living here!

Friday Faves

It's been an age since I posted here. I've been shooting, editing and uploading to Flickr, but not really posting, because that takes so much extra effort and time that I just don't seem to have had of late. Life seems to be running away from me a little atm...

All the same I want to share some of my favourites from this week ~ because they make me smile in all sorts of ways and I like to share a smile or two with my friends!

The Season is most beautiful right now ~ and actually unusually warm & dry

It's perfect for wanderings...

alone...

...or with family.

It makes me pause for thought...

...to realise it won't belong now before this little man is joining us on those walks.

I cannot think of anywhere I'd rather spend these days

...than here 

(this is our home, nestled in the autumn countryside)

...under these glorious evening skies!

And on that note I shall let the final farewell fall to Minnie...

Games, A Fair & A City Trip

This week our big four have been away on 'camp', so Paul & I decided to make the most of it! 

On Wednesday we took the 'smalls' to Liverpool ~ they wanted to go on a train and a boat. Lilo is into Art (and wants to be an artist) & Liverpool has a tonne of galleries, and then there is 'The World Museum' with it dinosaurs and fish ~ plenty to see and do with four small children :)

Best of all for me though, was the AMAZINGly beautiful architecture ~ fabulous to photograph...

Thursday we took them for a picnic & play in the park,

but when we got there the fair was there ~ a total added bonus!

My beautiful babies have had a brilliant week :-)
