He Still Brings Me Flowers...

I think it's wonderful ...

that after almost 18 years of marriage,

Paul still thinks to bring me flowers home sometimes :D

Also Bugs brought home this gorgeous little Brownie from his girlfriend's Nan's loft.

I think I am in love!

Just a shame it'll cost sooo much to get what's needed to take some snaps with it :(

Shop Till You Drop...

10 days ago Paul's parents were visiting.

Mum & I took the girls out on a long-awaited shopping trip.

They had money in their pockets

and it was burning a hole.

We shop, shop, shopped!

Even I got some new shoes (I have super-wide feet and I don't do shoes!).

I didn't take my Nikon, but it didn't mean I had to miss out on capturing our day.

Sometime phonography is enough :D

A Little Bit of Our New Year

At New Year, Paul's brother and nephew came to stay.

We don't see them very often, but B and Taz are similar age and they always have fun together.

Last time they came was about 18 months ago ~ time goes TOO fast ~ and we went cycling in the forest.

This time our van was/is in need of some repairs and so, as we're using my Nan's little tiny fiesta...

we had to keep local.

Everyone agreed that bowling would be fun for us all.

So, we booked two lanes, 

and a table at Pizza Hut

(that pretty young lady, is Bug's girlfriend ~ A) 

Of course Pizza always needs to be washed down with a bowl of Ice-Cream soup!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our New Year celebrations!

I looked outside yesterday and there they were ~ leaves ~ on my back lawn!

It's coming...

I'm not ready for it yet :(

Only last week the sun was shining and the days were warm.

Now there's a chill in air and the children are reluctant to go outside.

Not yet I say!

Please give us just a LITTLE more summer ...

It's gone WAY too fast :(

A little Dose of Summer

ATW Tuesday ~ Is it Spring Yet?

I heard on the news the other night that this winter 
has been one of the UK's mildest on record since records began - 350 years ago!

I find that SO hard to believe.

It feels like we have been hibernating indoors for months, 

...whilst a sub-zero world passed by outside.

The children all have serious cabin fever!

So when, AT LAST, the sun decided to defrost our little corner of the world this week

...my kids all headed outside as fast as their little ...

...(and not so little!) legs could carry them!

Taz declared he hadn't felt this warm for at least a millenium, which of course wouldn't be hard, since he hasn't lived anything like that long! He might have been fairer to say since the last millenium - wherein he was a babe-in-arms!

Seriously though ~ it wasn't that warm (about 13C max I think), but it was warm enough to be outside.

And it was just about warm enough to dry a line of shirts ~ even though they did still take all day!

First line-load of the year ~ may there be many more ~ and SOON!

The flowers seem to think it's nearly time ~ we hope they're right :D
