SOOC Saturday ~ Summer...
Ok, so pie isn't really about 'summer' but this was one awesome Steak and Kidney Pie ~ made by Dad, FOR Dad ~ though he did share it graciously!!
Early Summer is about...Little boys enjoying the evening sunshine ...
...The first of our home-grown veg!
...My 6yr old daughter mastering riding her bike in our leafy lane, with her big sister
~ SO summer!

...Learning outside in the garden, instead of inside, or in some stuffy classroom (I'd have loved to have been my children)!
..And teaching my children about the important things in life ~ like how to get honey from the suckle! :D

You know what I want is a damask chair smack dab in the middle of that lane and one of your girls in a pretty dress with her bare toes hanging over the arm....What a great image that would be.

yes...the last one is summer completely. i have such fond memories of eating the sweet honey out of the honeysuckles and have loved teaching this to my girls as well.
summer is also fireflies and bomb pops.
and the sound of cicadas at night.
Love the colours and saturation in the radish photo, but the kids playing all made me smile.
We don't really see fireflies, no idea what 'bomb pops' are and no cicadas here either ~ in the UK!! :D
I'd say you've summed up summer very nicely. I cannot choose a favorite shot, though the red radish (?) against the blue draws me.
Pie is about any season!
