FIX-IT-FRIDAY - NO.43- "Baby Gaga"
original
______________________________
Basic LR fix (sharpen, auto tone, punch)
________________________________
Top Row ~ LR (1- as above, 2- rotate, 3- vintage people from Laura Roberts on flickr)
Middle Row ~ PSE7 (1- Coffeeshop moody pop with B&W, 2- Moody pop with faded B&W, 3- moody pop straight)
Bottom Row ~ PSE7 (1- vintage news minus the B&W layer & the grain, 2- vintage news minus the blue layer, 3- vintage news straight) ~ by this time I had also cloned out the ballistrade using a layer mask. (I later used this layer mask to add as a luminosity layer in my next set of edits)

These were also made using vintage news, but I added the luminosity layer and dodged the darker side of her face, added screen layers and the last two edits also have some texture added :D #3 has a peach bokeh texture from eKristina (flickr) and #4 has that plus another texture overlay from Isabelle LaFrance (flickr)

Close up of #3

& #4

I wanted to add a frame so I popped into Picnik to do it and while I was there...

I found they have a heart bokeh layer and a 'hearts desire' tint layer this month - I couldn't resist, so here is my Valentine edition :D
You can see the full size set of my edits in my flickr stream ~

Thank you for posting your step-by-step with illustrations. I love the tilt and crop.
So many great edits!
love the crop, and #3 and the layer on the final edit... lots of good stuff going on here!
I like #4. Somehow the earthy tones in the image work for me. I like the crop out of the staircase too. :)
wow! so many super edits! Great work!
Wow, this is a lot of work! Great edits! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've enjoyed looking through your blog too. There are some really amazing photos here. I especially love the one (from the previous post) of the young man in the tree.
This was great work- especially getting to see all the changes and styles! I've been training myself on Picnik and figured I'll edge up to Photoshop some day when I'm feeling much more confident. Some of their V-day stuff has really been fun to play around with!
Ohmigosh I knew it! loads! I think you picked a great one to blow up in Close up of #3, but I especially like the one to the left of it - #2 I'd guess - lovely muted tones but still strong iykwim? What a lot of work!
