I ♥ Faces - Week 3 - "We Are Family!"
This weeks photo was a challenge because it had have family with an adult in. I can count on one hand the number of those I have! And I think this is actually the only one that I have taken. I thought about trying to do a brilliant reflection shot (like THIS one), but I thought it would be copying and also wasn't sure my S3 would achieve it in the poor light conditions 'indoors in winter'. Then I thought I'd try and get a shot with Paul and the kids at least, but he hates be photographed almost as much as I do, so that wasn't likely to happen any time soon! I could get some friends to sit for me, but time is of the essence... so it came down to this ~
This photo was taken WAY back on Mother's Day, in March last year!! It was also taken on my little P&S (Canon A1000), as I didn't want to lug my S3 up the mountain with 7 kiddos in tow! Stitch is not in the picture (as 22 months) as he was sitting in his backcarrier near me - in the sheltered part of the hillside! I made the rest stand up on the summit and look happy while pretty strong winds billowed around them (look at Bugs' trousers). Actually they were pretty happy though ~ it had been a long old hike to the top and they were really chuffed to be there and therefore about to head down, but also very pleased with themselves for achieving it. Just in case you were wondering, DD was only 3 at the time and he walked the whole way as good as the big kids! I actually LOVE this family shot (maybe coz I'm not in it!!) because it expresses some of each of their personalities and their faces are adorable ~ a real mixture of 'YEAH!!' and 'it's cold!' and 'it's a bit scary!' and 'can we get down now?'
I can't wait to see the other family entries this week.
Catch some faces over at I ♥ Faces and join in all the fun! See you There!
