FIX-IT-FRIDAY - NO.40 - "Birthday Boy!"
ORIGINAL
A little twiddling in Lightroom and this is it...
really not much to 'fix' here - it was a fantastic shot to begin with :D
FIX ONE
crop, auto tone, punch, portrait sharpen,
'cooled' very slightly,
touch of increase exposure, touch of increase contrast, touch of lower brightness,
touch of increase clarity,
lowered the saturation and increased the luminosity of the red.
_______________________
FIX TWO
preset aged photo, auto tone, punch, portrait sharpen
increase contrast, decrease brightness, increase exposure
______________________
FIX THREE
preset antique light, auto tone, punch, portrait sharpen
increase contrast, decrease brightness, increase exposure.

FIX FOUR
Decided this had been TOOO easy!!
So played a little bit with the background for this one using the masking in LR;
crop, auto tone, punch, portrait sharpen, cooled very slightly,
touch of increase exposure, touch of increase contrast, touch of lower brightness,
touch of increase clarity,
lowered the saturation and increased the luminosity of the red & did the same for the orange.
Selected all the background (except for the coloured bokeh spots)
decreased the exposure, the brightness and the saturation slightly.
I also decreased the clarity and the sharpness, but I increased the contrast.
rotated VERY slightly.
Put noise reduction up to 100 but still disliked the amount of noise, so ran noiseware (SE) over it in portrait settings. :D
I felt this pulled the boy forward more without loosing the laughter of the moment :D
FIX FIVE
>Just because I always like to see what I can do in Gimp - the last one is my Gimp edit from scratch! - and Yes - this is my favourite!! :D
Hope you like!

I like the last one too. Great job!
Hard to pick a fave!...think it would be number 2. Great job!
That last one is my favorite too! I like how you cropped without losing the "smiling lady" in the background. That was my hesitation re: cropping.
Great fixes. I can't decide what I want to do so I am looking over your amazing stuff!! Great job. Isn't the non photoshop edits the most fun!!
#3 is my fave...although you gave us a lot to choose from :) Very nice!
