I don't mind at all - I can't wait for your tutorial next week. Be sure to post it for Thursday! :)
I'm excited to read your tutorial this week as I LOVE Lightroom and have major lightroom envy! I use PSE8, but am hoping to get lightroom 3 before the year is out.
I do have a question for you: I just read in one of my books that laptops are almost impossible to calibrate. Do you know if this is true or not? We live in a laptop household :)
Vintage is my fave, so I love the vintage edit :)
Laptops are very difficult to calibrate because of the tilting screen. Every time the angle of the screen changes it affects the 'gama'. You simply have to do the best you can. I know that when I look at anything I edit on the PC and then on the laptop the colours are quite different. I've done my best and they 'seem' calibrated (using online tools), but they still don't come out the same. My PC screen is a lovely High Res' Flat screen, so I trust it better! One solution for photo editing purposes would be to plug a good quality screen into your laptop and use it as a periphery. That way you could have the best of all worlds :).
I did get your e-mail and thank you for sending it. With 2 little girls running around and another baby due in less than 3 weeks I sometimes forget to check to see if questions I've left get answered. Thank you!!! Now, besides lightroom I'll add a good monitor to my list of goodies...might as well add a new lense to play with too ;) Again, Thanks so much!!!
