Black & White Wednesday ~ My 'Swagger'...
Lately I've been THINKING...
I've been thinking that I REALLY love taking photographs...
I really LOVE editing them too ~
I get a kick out of watching each shot come ALIVE in front of my eyes, reminding me vividly of the moment I shot it!
I've been thinking that I could MAYBE earn some pennies from this PASSION of mine (you know in my 'spare' time)...
I've been thinking that maybe I'm ALMOST good enough...
...that my skill has DEFINITELY improved with time invested (and the new camera has helped a tad too!)...
BUT there is something else I MUST DO first...
I need to FIND my SWAGGER!
My pictures are great (well I think so ~ feel free to disagree!), they are lovingly crafted and display my passion, but somehow they still seem like cleverly edited SNAPSHOTS by a mother.
I'm GUESSING people don't want to pay for snapshots they could take themselves ~ in this day and age where everyone has a digital camera and access to some pretty neat editing tools at little, or no cost...
I'm wondering if 'BLACK & WHITE' might just be my thing? Or a BIG part of it at least...
I KNOW I am in love with the 'soul' ~ the 'grit' of life that it brings out.
I know that my BWs are often my FAVOURITES in my collection.
BW's have that ESSENCE that colour simply doesn't have ~ the DRAW that makes you look at them over and over again.
Can I make pennies ONLY shooting BW? Or will people always want to see the colour?
How do I find MY style ~ that special something that makes people know a shot is one of mine BEFORE they look at the watermark?
How can I stand OUT from the crowd?
This has ALWAYS been my CHALLENGE & my GOAL ~ not just in photography, but photography is a magnifying glass!
So, any ADVICE anyone?

Well you definitely have a way with your black and whites - who knew that you hadn't found your swagger. Although I'm still looking for mine.
