Linky Fun!
OK ~ so it's not Monday, but hey the linky for Macro Monday is still open and this little lady was too awesome not to share :)
This beautiful dragonfly sat on my front wall today, in a glimmer of sunshine, and posed for me ~ quite literally. Each time she flew off she settled right back on the spot my lens was focused on ready for the next click!
This is my 'dragon's-eye' view for Perceptive Perspective.
(just noticed that Perceptive Perspective has a 'labour' theme this week, but I cannot think of a single relevant shot that I have for that theme ~ yet! My own personal 'labour' won't be until sometime in December, and I won't be taking photos of that event either - I'll be to pre-occupied me thinks!! In any case, I hope I can be forgiven for submitting a non-theme related shot ~ it was taken from a different perspective after-all!)
And as I took these today I figured they qualified for Sweet-Shot Tuesday too :)!!
BTW ~ Click the pictures to see them SUPER-SIZE!!

I LOVE these shots! I lost my macro lenses and miss them so!
Great shots. I'd love a macro, one day!
Wow - those are incredible shots! I'm traveling today and tomorrow...no macro lens. :(
These are wonderful! I love the macro shots for all those details.
amazing shots! I never see red dragonflies around here.
For all those who THINK I have a macro lens ~ I actually don't! I don't even have a REAL DSLR. I shoot with a Canon S3, which is a 'super-zoom' bridge camera, but I shoot on full manual . These are taken on the macro setting at full zoom. I couldn't quite get close enough to use the super-macro this time! So Ashley (and others), if you don't have your macro lens, take your P&S, set it to P mode and macro and see what you can push out of it!! You might be surprised!!
I took these the other day with my true P&S (which doesn't have manual mode, only P) ~ Canon A1000 ~
