I Got the Part

"I Got the Part!"

Imagine my little man's joy when he got the lead role as 'The Grumpy Shepherd"
I guess he hardly fits the bill in this picture though ;)

New Life's Embrace.

This is a picture of my Mum, holding her newest grandchild, just minutes old, all pink & glowing - the first child she had been witness to the birth of! If you look closely you can see Ellie is actually looking at her, and the 'joy' in my Mum's heart is so evident on her face- I don't think her smile could get any broader, or her eyes tell you more of their joy, even if you could see them!!

The Joy of New Life's Embrace.

Joy - Part 2!

STRIKE!!

This is my friend's little man - just after he got a strike.
The picture says it all!!
Taken on an ordinary little P&S - I love the movement in the shot :)

Again tough choice - my other 'almost' for this week is posted HERE if you are interested :)

Difficult Choices - JOY

"A First Smile & A Friend's Love."

This is my entry for this weeks "JOY" category.

I found it hard to find pictures of joy without children in - so often in my family our joy is wrapped up in our children :)

This is a picture of a young lady who came to live with us one summer just after my son was born. C is just about 5 weeks old in this picture and this was for sure one of his first deliberately responsive smiles - and it was for her :)
You can see the joy and the bond between them - I love the shot! It captures a moment I'll probably never see again.

I found it so hard to chose between two photos though this week so I put the other one HERE in case you were interested to see it!!

My Sister and Brother-in-law having a silly moment. I love the fun in their faces :)

Just Something...

I don't know what it is in my daughter's face here that I love, but there is something so wistful about her expression. She looks so sad & thoughtful (even though she was not at all sad when I took it).
Taken on my Fuji FinePix F601 Zoom camera.

I decided I would crop out a little to make a better composition - what do you think? Somehow the crop focuses more into her eyes I think, and her peachy lips :) Hope it's OK to modify after entry :)
